Abstract:

Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools are becoming increasingly present in educational settings, offering new ways for teachers to design engaging and efficient instructional materials. This study investigates the use of Slidesgo, an AI-powered presentation tool, and how it shapes educators’ teaching practices and perceptions of AI in the classroom. Through a qualitative case study involving seven teachers from different educational levels in Mexico, the research gathered insights from their hands-on experiences using the tool. Results indicate that Slidesgo supports teachers by reducing preparation time and offering visually appealing content; however, its usefulness depends on how well educators adapt and personalize the materials to meet learning objectives. While teachers appreciated the tool’s simplicity and design features, they also identified limitations such as generic content, shallow depth, and editing restrictions. The study underscores the importance of teacher training and institutional support to make AI tools more effective and relevant in educational contexts.
