Abstract:
Nowadays, the integration of voice services into data networks is widespread and the use of voice codecs allows the voice signal data to be compressed in the transmitter and decompressed in the receiver. Key considerations for these systems include efficiency from various perspectives. This study focuses on the implementation and evaluation of the G.729 voice codec using SIMD instructions and its subsequent impact on the Asterisk system. The application of this technology is proposed in financial environments and other contexts where ICT is under a process of development and nurture.
